Goal-setting is great. But let’s face it: New Year’s resolutions are rarely kept. Three weeks into the year
and you’re left feeling guilty about any that you've already broken. I don’t know about you but i think that’s an awful way to start the year.
Here are five things
you can do every month that are easy to stick to and a much better use of your time.
Send two business connections an email or a call. Not a pitch or a sales call—just to check in. We want you to keep your network warm.
Ask yourself what single, low-impact/high-effort task you’re wasting your time with. Stop doing it (either entirely, or delegate it to someone else).
Put aside half a day each month to learn a new skill. It could be the art of negotiation. Or how to run a new report on Google Analytics.
Clean your work space. Make it sparkle. A neat and tidy workspace promotes neat and tidy thinking.
Set a date each month to purge your inbox of unchecked mail, organize your file system, review your Slack channels and notifications.
These tips are designed to open up opportunities, save you time, make you better at what you do, and help you stay organized. And they’re easy to do—so there’s no excuses!
