This newsletter started many years ago when Zoul, the founder of TDI ventured into affiliate marketing for the first time, while trying to pay for his college tuition in the united states as an international student. 

The lessons learned led him to build an affiliate business while promoting other people's offers. The main platform used for advertisement until recently was solo ads. Solo ads, stand for dedicated email sent to an audience specifically for the purpose of promoting what it is that you are selling. 

Solo Ads are very popular in the internet marketing world but The Digital Income has noticed a decline in the quality of leads obtained from driving traffic via solo ads. This doesn't mean that solo ads are bad, it just means that TDI needs to be more exclusive and expand to other marketing channels.

We've set our sights on Facebook ads. This is a shocker especially when most of our solo ads vendors warned  against the pitfalls of using Facebook Ads

. 

"Don't use Facebook, the traffic is very expensive and you will get banned".

We didn't listen and decided to test Facebook ads and see . The results can be seen in this blog post. Zoul, the founder of TDI has become very interested in the platform and is performing a series of tests to gauge the effectiveness of using Facebook ads. The results discovered so far are exciting to see and we've only just scratched the surface.

For the year 2023, TDI will also focus on growing it's social media following and invite you to like our Facebook Page if you haven't already.

TDI is multi facetted but has mainly focused on email as the main source of communication, but there is a lot of valuable information that can be provided to you in a nicely written articles on our blog.

We have changed the format of this newsletter a number of times. The format you see currently is the most recent iteration of our format change. 

This current format allows us to highlight key practical small business articles written to not only inspire you, but to also share experiences from other individuals who have decided to undertake an entrepreneurial journey. You'll learn of their struggles as well as get to experience their respective success stories. 

Some may share some step by step case studies that you can implement in your own business. Our newsletter will be comprised of a combination of useful emails sharing business tips, articles published by the TDI content team, or articles from partners that TDI find to be beneficial to the audience.

This is one of the most exciting news and the best way to start the year 2023. To further ensure that we feed the TDI blog consistently we are happy to announce that TDI now has a content team that will be responsible for publishing content on the blog on a weekly basis. 

While we can not provide much detail on the content team, one of the team members previously worked with Zoul as an editor many years ago. He will bring experience, professionalism as well as a team of other writers that he hand picked specifically to help grow the TDI blog.
