When I first got started in my online venture I was told to write up a list of people
close to me so I can tell them about my business opportunity. I immediately got my head filled with objections.
The immediate scenario that played in my head was that I had a very small circle of friends and it’s no secret to them that I was struggling financially. They’ve known me for years, why would I write them down on a list to then speak to them with my sponsor over an opportunity was sure to potentially earn us a lot of money?
I didn’t understand that strategy at all. It was bound to fail, a setup for failure. So in the mighty attempt not to embarrass myself I did what I knew best. Researched on the internet and realized that there are many ways to promote a business and the best part I was that I wouldn’t have to talk to anybody.
No one would hear my odd accent
No one would hear me stutter…
No one would sense my nervousness
This detachment from myself and failure opened up me up to a world of opportunities.
I went from cold calling strangers on the phone to building a massive email list online of people who were interested in what I had to sell without ever talking to them. The best part was the revenue earned using this method was exponentially better than what I did in the past.
Now after some time I use an easy setup that maintains a constant flow of traffic to my website. Imagine getting a constant flow of visitors to your offer, a constant flow of subscribers and even better a constant flow of buyers!
This is what I do each and every single day and it’s what I also want you to do. I believe in you and I know you can do the same if you put in the work.
I remember listening to Ryan Deiss, one of the most successful online entrepreneurs. He said his friend came to him one day and asked him to go golfing. He needed a new set of golf clubs and he would only buy it if he generated the income from his email list.
The next thing he did was write an email and sent it to his email subscribers. Before you new it he made enough to buy a set of golf clubs.
This is what motivated me because I realized the possibilities and the power you have when you work for yourself. I want you to experience the same thing.
Be on the lookout for tomorrow’s email :-)
